Lyons Tales: A Review & Preview of Mount Holyoke Athletics for Dec. 12th

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, LYONS NATION!!! It has been an outstanding fall season for our teams, student-athletes and department. With all of our squads now idle until January, this will be the last Lyons Tales until next year!! Thank you for your support and we'll be back in January 2017! From our Lyons family to yours, Happy Holidays and a joyous New Year!!


The Lyons return to action on January 21st when they travel to Weyers Cave, Va., to compete in the Winter I Tournament of Champions event, which is the third leg of the 2016-17 Tournament of Champions series.



Mount Holyoke (1-3) is idle for the holidays, but returns to action on Thursday, January 12th when it hosts Clark and Wheaton for tri-match action beginning at 1pm.



The Lyons (2-6) was idle last week, and will return to action on Friday, January 6. MHC will travel to Williamstown, Mass., to face Williams (12pm) and Bowdoin (2pm).



The Lyons suffered a pair of losses last week against Springfield and the University of Saint Joseph. Senior forward and captain Xajaah Williams-Flores (The Bronx, N.Y.) led the way defensively for MHC, averaging 12.5 rebounds per game on the week. Mount Holyoke (2-7; 0-3 NEWMAC) is now idle for the holiday break, but returns to action on January 4th when it heads to Smith College for a 7pm NEWMAC tilt.

Mount Holyoke was idle last week, but returns to action on January 21st when it competes at the Smith College Beynon Invitational.
