WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced its weekly awards for the period ending March 24th and Mount Holyoke College student-athlete Julia Hecking was recognized. A senior and captain of the Lyons track & field team, she garnered Field Athlete of the Week honors after an outstanding week to open the outdoor season.

Hecking, who hails from Greenville, Pa., had a solid indoor season as well, earning seventh or better across five meets. Highlighting the efforts was the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT, where she threw a personal best 13.70 meters in the weight throw to earn fifth overall.
