Bardee Sadlier is in her 10th year as Mount Holyoke’s Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities. In addition to providing overall supervision of the sports and dance complex, she hires and supervises student workers, schedules all groups and activities and manages home events. Sadlier initially joined the staff as Sports Complex Manager in 1999. She was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2001 before taking on her current role in 2007.
Sadlier has been instrumental in the development of Mount Holyoke’s newest athletic facilities. In recent years, the College has unveiled a new turf and track complex (2007) and a new boathouse (2010). Additionally, extensive renovations have been made to the Kendall Sports and Dance Complex (2009). Highlights of that project include a new fitness center, a revamped natatorium and a new dance wing.
From 2008-10, Sadlier served on the campus wide Staff Council. She is a member of the Athletic Department’s Administrative Team as well as its Friends of Athletics Golf Tournament Committee. The Indiana native has also been an active member of NACWAA since 2000.
Sadlier played both volleyball and basketball at Beloit College (Wis.) for four years. After earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in history from Beloit in 1991, she moved on to Smith College to attend graduate school. While working toward her Master of Science degree in exercise and sport studies at Smith, she served as an assistant coach for its volleyball, basketball and softball teams (1992-94). After graduating, she went on to Mills College (Calif.), where she was the head volleyball coach for four seasons (1994-97).
