Basketball Team Set to Play 4Kay February 7, 2012 Mount Holyoke has partnered with the WBCA to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer through the Play 4Kay initiative. Play 4Kay is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The Lyons will Play 4Kay on Saturday during their game against Coast Guard.

Pascual and Brown Propel Basketball Past MIT February 4, 2012 Led by junior Angelica Pascual, Mount Holyoke rolled to a 58-46 triumph over NEWMAC foe MIT this afternoon at the Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium. The guard poured in 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor and drained three shots from beyond the arc. With the win, the Lyons snapped a five-game losing streak and avenged a 43-36 setback at MIT earlier this season.

Chase Leads Basketball in Losing Effort at Clark February 1, 2012 Mount Holyoke dropped a 65-52 decision to NEWMAC foe Clark despite 14 points and six rebounds from senior forward Tricia Chase this evening at the Kneller Athletic Center. Nationally-Ranked Babson Tops Basketball January 28, 2012 Mount Holyoke fell 85-36 to nationally-ranked Babson this afternoon at Staake Gymnasium. Pascual Picks Up Lyon of the Week Honors

Junior Angelica Pascual has earned the Lyon of the Week Award for the week of January 9-15 after leading the basketball team to a 63-51 triumph over Coast Guard on Saturday. The guard was nearly unstoppable in the contest, pouring in a season-best 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor. She netted a pair of three-pointers and also pulled down four rebounds. Pascual scored 17 more points in her team's heartbreaking 63-59 overtime loss to WPI on Wednesday. She went 6-of-11 from the floor, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. The guard also chipped in with three rebounds and four assists. In 63 career games played, she has posted 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per outing. Her 37 points against Agnes Scott College in the opening game of the 2010 Seven Sisters Classic were a program record.
