Christina Lee has been the head coach of the track and
field program at Mount Holyoke College since its inception in 1986.
During that time, she has served as head coach of both the indoor
and outdoor teams.
Lee was named NEWMAC Coach of the Year for the second straight
season after guiding the Lyons to the NEWMAC Championship in 1995.
In 1994, she took home USTCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year
accolades. Over her 24 seasons at the helm, she has coached seven
All-Americans, 16 Academic All-Americans, a two-time National
Champion and a NEWMAC Rookie of the Year (2000).
In addition to her duties as head track and field coach, Lee also
served as head cross country coach at the College from 1987 to
2008. After earning NEWMAC Coach of the Year honors in 1992, she
mentored the NEWMAC Rookie of the Year in 1993. A total of 23
runners grabbed Academic All-America accolades during her
stint.
Lee is a senior lecturer in the Department of Physical Education
at Mount Holyoke. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from
the University of North Carolina Greensboro and her Master of
Science Degree in Sport Psychology from the University of
Oregon.
A former marathon runner and triathlete, Lee is currently
competing in open water swimming events. She has completed eight
marathons.
