Coast Guard goalkeeper Mary Mills made several diving saves to keep
her squad within striking range entering the second half. On Mount
Holyoke's first goal, Yuko Takahashi stole a pass and fired a shot
from the right side of the box. Mills got her hands on the ball but
couldn't control it. The ball eventually trickled over the goal line
and into the net. On the second goal, Emily Lomax's crossing pass
from the right side found a wide open Emmy Fontaine in the middle of
the box. Fontaine blasted a shot past Mills into the lower left corner
of the goal. Coast Guard was able to apply some pressure in the half
but had no great scoring chances.
