  • 2011-12 Golf Year in Review

    The Mount Holyoke golf program kicked off a new era in 2011-12, as Tim Walko completed his first full season as head coach. First year Madi Mendiola made an immediate impact on the program with her outstanding play from the outset. The rookie racked up five top ten finishes and posted the second best scoring average in school history (81.27). She ended the season ranked 12th in the region.
  • Golf Wraps Up 2011-12 Campaign at Williams Invitational

    Led by first year Madi Mendiola, Mount Holyoke closed out its 2011-12 campaign with a seventh place finish at the Williams Spring Invitational this weekend. Mendiola fired a 166 to secured eighth place overall.
  • Golf Competes in Jack Leaman Championship

    Mount Holyoke took part in the annual Jack Leaman Championship this weekend. A total of 12 teams competed in the two-day tournament, which began on Saturday at Amherst Golf Club and concluded today at the Orchards Golf Club. First year Madi Mendiola grabbed 12th place to set the tone for the Lyons.
  • Golf Takes Part in Vassar Invitational

    Mount Holyoke competed in the Vassar Invitational this weekend, earning eighth place overall. A total of 11 squads participated in the two round tournament, which took place at the Dutchess Golf and Country Club (par 72 - 5,805 yards). The Lyons were paced by paced by first year Madi Mendiola, who grabbed 13th place with a two day total of 170.
  • Golf Kicks Off Spring Slate With Dominant Performance in Myrtle Beach

    Mount Holyoke kicked off the spring portion of its schedule with a dominant performance today at Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Led by first year Madi Mendiola and junior Felicitas Gerlach, the Lyons took first place in a tri-match against William Smith and Sewanee.

    First year golf team member Madi Mendiola has earned the Lyon of the Week Award for the week of October 10-16 after her second place performance at Wellesley College's Ann S. Batchelder Invitational over the weekend. The rookie carded a two-day score of 154 (76, 78) at the tournament, which took place at Nehoiden Golf Course.

    First year Madi Mendiola continued her outstanding play with a second place finish at Wellesley’s Ann S. Batchelder Invitational this weekend. The rookie carded a two-day score of 154 (76-78) at the tournament, which was took place at Nehoiden Golf Course.
  • Mendiola Leads Golf With Fifth Place Finish at Williams

    Led by first year Madi Mendiola, Mount Holyoke grabbed ninth place at the Williams Fall Classic this weekend. A total of 11 teams and 56 individuals competed in the tournament, which was hosted by the Taconic Golf Club (par 71 – 5,826 yards). Mendiola took home fifth place overall with her two-day score of 160 (81, 79).
  • Williams Secures Team Title at Mount Holyoke Invitational

    Williams grabbed top honors at the 36th annual Mount Holyoke Invitational this weekend. A total of 16 teams and 79 individuals participated in the tournament at The Orchards Golf Club. The Lyons were paced by first year Madi Mendiola, who secured seventh place overall.

    First years Madi Mendiola and Rebecca Berger paced Mount Holyoke in its 2011-12 debut at the New York University Invitational this weekend. Mendiola took home 13th place overall with her two-day total of 164.

    The Mount Holyoke golf team begins a new era in 2011-12, as first year head coach Tim Walko takes over the reins of the program for his first full season. His Lyons are scheduled to compete in five tournaments this fall. They will get things going at the New York University Invitational on Saturday, September 17.
