Joel Bierwert brings a lifelong passion for swimming and diving and years of experience to Mount Holyoke College as the diving coach, beginning in the 2025-26 season. A competitive swimmer for 14 years and former diver at Auburn University, Bierwert transitioned to coaching, where he could share his love for the sport with athletes at all levels. He began as a volunteer diving coach at Northampton High School, where he coached for two years before becoming head diving coach at Easthampton High School. Joel is dedicated to fostering both skill development and confidence in his athletes, and he is excited to continue his coaching journey here at Mount Holyoke while giving back to the sport that has helped shape his life.
