Alex Rachmaciej joined the Mount Holyoke College Department of Athletics as the Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country Coach in August of 2021. In addition to his role as the Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country Coach, Rachmaciej will also serve as the Department's Transportation Coordinator.
Prior to his arrival at Mount Holyoke College, Rachmaciej was most recently a graduate assistant coach for the Springfield College track and field program. During his time at Springfield, Rachmaciej served as a jumps coach, was involved with all phases of the recruitment of student-athletes, coordinated academic study halls, and assisted in running daily practices. Rachmaciej was also a volunteer coach for the West Springfield High School track and field program from May of 2017 through June of 2018, working with student-athletes in sprints, jumps and hurdles.
A former jumper and sprinter for the track and field team at Springfield College, Rachmaciej graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Biology and a minor in Athletic Coaching in May 2020. He is currently a member of the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and USA Track and Field. Rachmaciej is currently working on a Master's degree in Advanced Level Coaching at Springfield College.
