Waldron named CRCA All-American

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Recent Mount Holyoke College graduate Emma Waldron was named a Division III Second Team All-American on Friday by the College Rowing Coaches Association, becoming the Lyons' rowing program's first All-American since 2011.

Waldron (Pittsburgh, Pa.) joined 17 other student-athletes on the Division III All-America team. Cleo Schneider '11 was the last Lyon to receive All-America honors in rowing. Mount Holyoke's last previous All-American in any sport was diver Kathryn Murphy in 2022.

A double-major in environmental science and biology, Waldron graduated with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average, and received a Fulbright research grant in May to continue their biology senior thesis work in Sweden. Waldron is a team ergometer record holder in several distances and a three-year team captain for the Lyons.
