SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team has been selected as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the spring 2025 semester.
The Lyons' 25-member squad, helmed by 27th-year head coach Dave Allen, attained a mean grade point average of 3.64 for the semester, far surpassing the CSCAA's prescribed minimum of 3.00 or higher. The Lyons achieved the same honor after the fall 2024 semester.
Mount Holyoke is one of 763 teams from 432 institutions to garnerthe award, including NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA colleges.
Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, praised the honorees, "These teams exemplify what it means to be true student-athletes. Their dedication to academic excellence, alongside their athletic commitments, is both impressive and inspiring. The CSCAA is proud to recognize and celebrate their hard work and achievement."
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
