Soccer Releases 2009 Schedule
???SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (July 23, 2009) - The Mount Holyoke College soccer team recently unveiled its 2009 schedule. The Lyons will kick off their slate with a pair of contests at the Manhattanville College Invitational. After getting their season underway on Saturday, September 12 against the host Valiants, they will face off against Montclair State University the following afternoon. Mount Holyoke's home opener is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 15 against Lesley University.
The non-conference portion of the Lyons schedule also features contests against Connecticut College, Elms College, Wesleyan University and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. In total, third year head coach Kanae Haneishi has scheduled 16 regular season matches. Of those, seven will take place at home.
Mount Holyoke will kick off its nine match NEWMAC slate at home versus Wheaton College on Saturday, September 26. The team will put the finishing touches on their regular season at the Coast Guard Academy on Tuesday, October 27.
Quarterfinal Round action of the NEWMAC Touranament will take place on Satuday, October 31. The Semifinals will be on Saturday, November 7, and the Championship will be on Sunday, November 8.
