Title: Assistant Soccer Coach

The Mount Holyoke College soccer program added a new assistant head coach to the Lyons Department of Athletics last week, with the appointment of 20-year veteran coach Jill Serafino in March 2026.

"I am thrilled to add Jill to the Mount Holyoke soccer program," said head coach Breena Proctor. "Her knowledge of the game, experience, competitive mindset, and dedication to the student-athlete experience make her an outstanding addition to the coaching staff. I have no doubt she will make an immediate impact both on and off the field."

Serafino brings a depth of coaching experience, including 16 at the collegiate level, to Mount Holyoke. She has served as assistant coach at Springfield College, American International College, and the University at Albany, and is the former head coach at Simpson College. Most recently, Serafino worked as the athletic director at The MacDuffie School in Granby, Mass., and as Director of Operations for United Women's Soccer, a nationwide pro-am league.

"I am excited to join a program that places an emphasis on culture and the development of its student-athletes," Serafino said. "I'm looking forward to working with the players, supporting their growth, and helping the team compete at the highest level."
