MHC Named Educational Association of the Year by USTA New England

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (March 7, 2007) - In an annoucnment made in January, tennis head coach Aldo Santiago was chosen to represent Mount Holyoke College as the recipent of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) New England's 2006 Educational Association of the Year Award. USTA New England will recognize 28 individuals and six organizations, including Mount Holyoke College, that have made positive contributions to tennis in New England in 2006 at its annual awards ceremony being held Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Marlborough, Mass.

The Educational Asssociation of the Year Award is annually awarded to an educational insitution that has shown exceptional support for tennins in New England through tennis programs, player development, community invovlement and partnership with the USTA New England. An active awards committee made up of six volunteers chose this year's award winners - with input from the USTA New England staff - from nominations that were submitted in each award category throughout 2006.
