THE MATCHUPS: The Lyons return to the court for the first time since March 2 - a 7-2 loss to the 28th-ranked team in the country. Mount Holyoke holds a 1-0 all-time record against Endicott, dating back to the first meeting during the 2003-04 season. The Lyons have not faced Lesley in their history. Both Endicott (10am) and Lesley (2pm) are making their first appearances of the spring.
THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (5-6; 4-3 NEWMAC) faced #28 Bates on March 2nd to open its spring schedule. The Lyons shouldered a hard-fought 7-2 loss to the Bobcats as several players battled in tough matches on the singles side. Sophomore Sarah Anischik posted a come-from-behind 0-6, 6-4, (10-3) win against Lucy Brennan in the third flight, while first year Margaux Holloschutz grabbed the second victory as she battled back from a 1-6 deficit to win 6-1 with a 10-7 tiebreaker win against Nicole Russell in the fifth flight.
THE GULLS: Endicott (14-2, 7-1 CCC) returns to the court for the first time this spring after posting a 14-2 record in the fall. In addition to winning its second straight Commonwealth Coast Conference title - in a 5-3 win over Nichols - the Gulls return a number of solid performers, including Emilie Cloutier (10-3; 7-2 @#1), Natalie Egbert (14-1; 12-1 @#3) and Amy Heacox (15-0; 12-0 @#4).
THE LYNX: Lesley (0-13, 0-10 NECC) returns to the court for the first time in 2013 having concluded their fall season on October 15 in a 9-0 loss to Emmanuel. The Lynx top doubles team of Emma True and Molly Phelps posted a 4-6 record during the fall campaign.
NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke is back in action on April 6 when it hosts Connecticut College (10:30am) and Rensselaer (2pm). Endicott next plays on April 8 when it hosts Springfield (3:30pm).
