SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke hunt seat riding team hosted its second Mount Holyoke Show of the fall on Saturday to great success, while finishing as Reserve Champion, four points behind first-place UMass-Amherst.

Up first was Open Fences, with senior Hallie Phillips placing just out of ribbons in a competitive class. Intermediate fences was up next with Eliza Mutz going into the ring first in Section A, placing second and qualifying for Regionals. In Section B, assistant manager Emi Graf and Carly Bitler placed second and first, respectively.

In Section A of Limit Fences, manager Grace Neumuth rode to a second place. In Section B, Alyssa Martinsen placed second, qualifying for Regionals, and Lainey Nibbio placed first. In Section C, Bessie Huggins placed first, and Haoshun Sparks placed fifth. In Section D, Nora Tripp placed first in her Limit Fences debut, and senior Kate Smith placed fifth.

After flat schooling, the Introductory division went into the ring. In section A, Kenny Yang placed third and Milly Chen placed second. In Section B, Gaile Hao placed first, and Peixi Jia placed second. In Section C, Natsume Maeda placed second in her IHSA debut.

Phillips entered the ring again for Open Flat, placing first. In Section A of Intermediate Flat, Mutz placed third. In Section B, Smith placed first, and in Section C, senior Charlotte Subak placed fourth.

Next up was Novice with Em Jablonka in Section A, placing first. In Section B, Az Reading placed sixth. In Section C, Maddie Bradley-Burns placed second. In Section D, Sabella Riccio placed second, and Salome Hizanishvili placed third.

Nora Tripp went back into the ring for Limit Flat Section A accompanied by Sophia Bull, placing first and fourth, respectively. In Section B, Charlie May placed third, qualifying for Regionals. In Section C, Sparks placed fourth. In Section D, Bessie Huggins placed first. In Section E, Neumuth placed first, qualifying for Regionals.

Last but not least, Maria Ma went into the ring for Pre Novice and placed second, pointing up into Novice.
