WORCESTER, Mass. -- Saturday's Wesleyan Invitational indoor track and field meet didn't include team scoring, but if it had Mount Holyoke undoubtedly would have fared well, as the Lyons took first place in seven events at the meet, which included competitors from 11 teams.

Top performances by the Lyons included:

  • Sophomore Ioanna Tsoni (Athens, Greece) won two events, including a big personal indoor best in the triple jump, where she soared 11.17 meters (36'7.75") on her final attempt -- 0.54 meters beyond her previous best -- while topping a field of 10 competitors. Tsoni moved past Ana Hilton (1997) and Maggie Mills (2002) into second place on Mount Holyoke's all-time performance list, only six centimeters behind Elle Rimando's team-record mark. Tsoni also placed first among 13 competitors in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.22 seconds.
  • Senior Tessa Lancaster (Mansfield, Mass.) won the mile, outpacing 17 competitors in 5:33.10.
  • Sophomore Dalia Luckhardt (Cerritos, Calif.) vaulted into seventh place on Mount Holyoke's all-time performance list in the 600 meters, as she finished in first place among 11 runners in 1:45.10. Luckhardt passed Diane Baconguis (1997), Elizabeth Knowlton (1996), Naomi Miller (2014) and Brianna Weir (2014) on the top-10 list.
  • First-year Sachi Robinson (Staten Island, N.Y.) took first place out of 10 competitors in the 800 meters (2:34.70).
  • Senior Greta Trapp (La Crosse, Wis.) took first place out of nine runners in the 1,000 meters (3:12.90).
