MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Senior outside hitter Madeline Barton received the first NEWMAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2025 season on Monday, as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference announced its weekly honors.
Barton (Brookfield, Wis.) played a dominating role in both of the Lyons' matches Saturday at the University of Saint Joseph, putting down a combined 40 kills with a .337 hitting percentage for a conference-leading 5.71 kills per set, including the go-ahead and match points in their 3-0 victory over the host Blue Jays.
Barton added 0.57 aces and 2.43 digs per set, and leads the NEWMAC with 6.43 points per set. She also committed just one reception error on 28 attempts (.964).
The two-time CSC Academic All-District selection also earned NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 11, 2023.
