SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke College volleyball team placed the maximum allowable number of four student-athletes on the CSC Academic Division III All-District Team, announced by College Sports Communicators, with seniors Madeline Barton, Sadie Duffrin, Elle Rimando and Amelia Ringor all earning the honor.
The 2025 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The award is given to athletes who in addition to being impactful on their respective team, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and have achieved second year status at their academic institution. All four of Mount Holyoke's honorees maintain a cumulative GPA above 3.75.
The four Lyons recently capped their volleyball careers, which comprised perhaps the best four-year span in program history, with the team's first postseason play since 2006 and a 15-14 record. All four are repeat CSC Academic All-District honorees, including three in a row for both Barton (Brookfield, Wis.) and Duffrin (Minneapolis, Minn.).
Barton, a psychology major, broke Mount Holyoke's career kills record during the season, raising the new record to 1,237, while ranking second in the NEWMAC in both kills per set (3.85) and points per set (4.31).
Duffrin, an architectural studies major and team captain, broke the Lyons' career assists record during her senior campaign, establishing a new standard of 2,753, while ranking fourth in the conference in assists per set (8.34).
Rimando (Mililani, Hawaii), an architectural studies major, led the NEWMAC in kills per set (4.06) and points per set (4.73), and earned Second Team All-NEWMAC honors. Also an NCAA Championship track and field athlete, Rimando thrived at a new position as a senior, right-side hitter, after serving as Mount Holyoke's starting middle hitter in her first three seasons. Rimando finished only four kills shy of the Lyons' single-season record with 414.
Ringor (West Lafayette, Ind.), a biological sciences major and team captain, won her CSC Academic All-District honor after ranking second on the Lyons with 2.54 digs per set.
