The equestrian team is back in action on February 23rd, when they compete at the UMass Horse Show.
The Lyons (7-3) posted a 160-135 victory over Smith in their final dual meet of the season on Saturday. MHC, which honored its nine seniors at the meet, saw first year Cathleen Pruden (Raleigh, N.C.) record three victories and re-set two of her own school records. Mount Holyoke is now idle until February 15-17, when it travels to MIT to compete in the 2013 NEWMAC Championships. Action begins each day at 10am.
Mount Holyoke posted a 1-1 record last week, defeating Clark (61-59) before falling at MIT (57-44). The Lyons were paced by senior guard Angelica Pascual (Lawrence, Mass.), who averaged 16.5 points over the week's action. The Lyons (5-14; 3-11 NEWMAC) return to action on Wednesday when they host WPI at 7pm at the Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium. That contest also marks Senior Day for MHC's two graduating seniors! iMHC closes out the week with a game at Coast Guard on Saturday (1pm).

Mount Holyoke (8-7) captured its seventh consecutive Seven Sisters Championship on Saturday, posting a 3-0 record with wins over Smith (9-0), Wellesley (5-4) and Vassar (9-0). Senior Kathryn Brummer (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), along with juniors Randima Ranaweera (Colombo, Sri Lanka) and Shaheen Madraswala (Mumbai, India) were all selected to the All-Tournament Team.
The #20 Lyons are back on the courts on Wednesday when they host #16 Amherst at 6pm at the MHC Squash Courts. MHC wraps-up the week at the Division III Nationals, hosted by Bowdoin College. Action begins on Friday and runs through Sunday.
The Lyons saw split squads compete at two different meets last Saturday. Several athletes travled to the Springfield Indoor Meet, which saw senior Connie Ward (Troy, N.Y.) win the shot put with a seasons-best throw of 10.12 meters, while the other group competed at the non-scoring, multi-divisional Dartmouth Indoor Classic. At Dartmouth, first year Camille Coklow (Chicago, Ill.) qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 200-meter dash, while classmate Elizabeth DeLeon (Boise, Idaho), was a qualifier for the New England Division III Championships in the 800-meter run.
Mount Holyoke is back to the track on Saturday, when it competes at the MIT Coed Invitational. Action begins at 12pm.
