CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke junior Isabel Dunn qualified for the B Final and finished 15th in the 400-yard individual medley, highlighting the third day of the NEWMAC Swimming & Diving Championships for the Lyons.
Dunn advanced to Saturday night's B Final in the 400-yard individual medley with her morning trial time of 4:51.55, 12th fastest among 26 competitors. In the B Final, she took 15th place overall in 4:54.22.
Other top performances by the Lyons included:
- First-year Katie Thomason (Alexandria, Va.) finished one spot out of the B Final in the 400 IM with her time of 5:04.63, placing 21st.
- First-year Maya Oakes (Pine Bush, N.Y.) placed 23rd in the 100 backstroke trials (1:04.74).
- First-year Naomi Long (Omaha, Neb.) placed 25th in the 100-yard butterfly trials (1:08.22).
- Junior Madeline Hood (The Colony, Texas) took 26th place in the 200 freestyle (2:03.04).
- First-year Ellie Lewis (Spencer, Ind.) finished 28th in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.93).
- Mount Holyoke took 10th place in Saturday night's 200-yard medley relay, with Oakes, Lewus, Dunn, and senior Molly Malloy (Atlanta, Ga.) finishing in 1:57.26.
- On Friday, Malloy took 35th place in the 50-yard freestyle trials (26.27) to lead MHC swimmers.
- Hood led the Lyons in the 500 freestyle, placing 35th (5:39.50).
- Lewis placed 38th the 200 individual medley (2:24.71).
- On Thursday night, the Lyons took 10th place in the 800-yard freestyle relay (8:24.13) with Thomason, Dunn, Lewis, and Hood finishing in 8:24.13.
Mount Holyoke heads into the final day of the NEWMAC Championships in 10th place with 130 points, trailing ninth-place Clark by 49.
