Swimming and diving repeats as CSCAA team academic award winner

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team has been selected as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the spring 2026 semester.

The Lyons' 19-member squad, helmed by 28th-year head coach Dave Allen, attained a mean grade point average of 3.56 for the semester, far surpassing the CSCAA's prescribed minimum of 3.00 or higher. The Lyons achieved the same honor after the fall 2025 semester.

Mount Holyoke is one of 418 institutions to win the award, including NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA colleges.

"This recognition celebrates the remarkable commitment these student-athletes make to excellence both in the classroom and in competition," said CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. "The teams honored this spring represent the very best of collegiate swimming and diving, demonstrating that academic success and athletic achievement go hand in hand. We congratulate every student-athlete, coach, and institution recognized."

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
