SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke College lacrosse coach Elizabeth Morrison made her first major move as head coach of the Mount Holyoke College lacrosse team prior to the start of her first season with the Lyons, bringing in former team captain Hannah Bisson '24 as the program's first full-time assistant coach dedicated to lacrosse.
"I am thrilled to welcome Hannah back to Mount Holyoke to serve as our assistant coach for the 2026 season," said Morrison. "I'm excited to have someone with such a deep knowledge of Mount Holyoke join the coaching staff. Using her own experience as a student-athlete, I'm confident Hannah will be able to support our players both on and off of the field. Additionally Hannah's offensive experience will help her take charge of the attacking unit."
Bisson was a four-year member of the team and tallied 43 goals and 12 assists over the course of three seasons, with no games played in 2021. She received the Class of 2024's Laurie Priest Scholar-Athlete Award based on her outstanding athletic and academic career.
Bisson comes to Mount Holyoke from nearby Amherst College, where she worked in the athletic department booking travel for 27 teams, with additional responsibilities in business operations and event management for postseason NESCAC and NCAA contests. She received a Master of Sports Leadership degree from Northeastern University in December 2025.
"I'm really excited for the opportunity to return to Mount Holyoke and begin my coaching career," Bisson said. "My experience as a student-athlete at Mount Holyoke has shaped who I am personally and professionally, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to give back to a program that gave me so much. I look forward to working alongside Coach Libby to help bring her vision for the program to life."
