MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Mount Holyoke College senior attacker Emi Bisson was named Second Team All-Conference on Wednesday as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference announced its postseason awards for women's lacrosse.
Bisson (Chester, Conn.) recently concluded her career as one of the best offensive players in team history with a career-high 101 points this season, including a team record 53 assists and a career-high-tying 48 goals. She was named the NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week for the third time in her career in the first week of the season.
Bisson led the Lyons to a 12-11 win over Emerson in her final game, scoring a point on 11 of the Lyons' 12 goals with three goals and eight assists. The win gave Mount Holyoke a final record of 8-7, their first winning campaign since 2013, and it represented the team's most conference victories (3) since 2015.
Her third assist of the game was her 48th of the season, moving her past the former record of 47 that was set by Caitlin Taylor in 2006 and tied by Catherine Ryan in 2013. She ended the game with 53 assists on the year in addition to a career-high-tying 48 goals, for a career-high 101 points on the season, the third-highest total in team history.
Bisson finishes her illustrious career at Mount Holyoke with 172 goals, 118 assists and 290 points in 62 games. She ranks fifth all-time at MHC in goals, third all-time in assists and second in points behind Taylor's 304, which was accomplished in 65 career games.
Bisson is the Lyons' first All-NEWMAC selection since Abby Baldwin in 2019.
